Welcome graphic

I've been playing guitar since I was about 10 years old.  It's been my main hobby/passion for years now.

Late into my college years (Auburn University), I decided to get a little serious about learning the ins and outs of theory and technique; thanks mostly in part to my brother-in-law, Jim Seales of the country group Shenandoah.

Later on I eventually learned about the benefits of tube amplification and the fun of collecting quality stomp box pedals.  So this site is mostly a way for me to share ideas, pics, sound files and thoughts on quality gear and guitar stuff in general.

By quality gear, I don't necessarily mean expensive either.  Most of my gear to this point is the stuff an average player can get their hands on. But with some insight, inexpensive upgrades, and a little ingenuity you can still attain nice guitar tones with even the most average gear.  Of course, if I could afford it, I would go collecting the finest vintage and modern boutique gear possible.

Just got the Rt.66 and it sounds great. My God, those KT66's are huge!

This yellow tele and the Carvin Bel Air amp behind it have been staples for me for a few years.
