I've been playing guitar since I was about 10 years old. It's been my main hobby/passion for years now.
Late into my college years (Auburn University), I decided to get a little serious about learning the ins and outs of
theory and technique; thanks mostly in part to my brother-in-law, Jim Seales of the country group Shenandoah.
Later on I eventually learned about the benefits of tube amplification and the fun of collecting quality stomp box pedals.
So this site is mostly a way for me to share ideas, pics, sound files and thoughts on quality gear and guitar stuff in general.
By quality gear, I don't necessarily mean expensive either. Most of my gear to this point is
the stuff an average player can get their hands on. But with some insight, inexpensive upgrades, and a little ingenuity
you can still attain nice guitar tones with even the most average gear. Of course, if I could afford it, I would
go collecting the finest vintage and modern boutique gear possible.
